Cackleberries Christmas Recipes
From now until Christmas, The Cackleberries Team will be offering new Christmas Recipes for some of our favourite seasonal snacks and festive foods.
Classic Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients
-
2 Cups of Flour
-
1 Cup of Butter
-
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
Directions
- Add the butter and sugar into a mixing bowl and cream together well
- Slowly add the flour and mix until consistent
- Once the ingredients form a stiff dough place the mixture onto a floured surface
- Slowly knead into the flour until the dough starts to crack slightly (refrigerate dough for a couple of hour for best results)
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
- Roll the dough out until about a 1/4 inch thick (make sure you’re working on a flat surface)
- Cut the dough into Christmas shapes and objects with cookie cutters or a fine knife
- Bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for about 30 minutes or until the cookies begin to brown just slightly
- Serve and enjoy!
