Cackleberries Christmas Activities

Cackleberries is getting right into the thick of the holiday spirit with December’s Christmas theme postings. Today, we offer a list of fun activities you can do during the holidays. Whether at work or at home, we’ve got your Christmas activities covered.  Read on for part 1 of our 2 part Christmas Activities series….

Following are some ideas that will help fill you with Christmas cheer.  Enjoy!

Caroling

While this activity might not be for everyone, people claim to get a great amount of joy from the caroling experience. Whether taking part, or simply going along for the walk, caroling can be an unexpectedly entertaining Christmas activity to partake in – if you’re actively participating or not.

Christmas Parade

Most towns have their own Santa’s Day or Christmas themed parades. Usually, many cities will plan their parades around the first weekend or second weekend of December. Not only is this a great way to encourage Christmas spirit all around but it also is a great way to kick yourself into gear and get that Christmas shopping done early

Workplace Gift Exchange

Set a price limit and throw the names of everyone who wants to participate into a hat. Have people randomly select a name from the hat. You’re only responsible for getting a gift for that one person and remember – keep it appropriate and stick to the price limit. No one wants to be embarrassed or upstaged by anyone involved. As a group, you can decide if you want a theme for the gifts, if it should be a gag gift exchange, and even when you should open the presents. Do you want to open them all in a group or do you want to save it for Christmas morning? Its up to you and your co-workers to decide. What is for certain is that work gift exchanges are a great way to spend some fun time with other employees and to spread the Christmas spirit in the workplace.

Spending Time with Family and Friends

One of the best ways to enjoy the holidays is to simply relax and spend time with your family and friends. A years worth of stresses and struggles tend to get washed away by remembering what’s really important in life.

Stay tuned for part 2 of our Christmas Activities series!
