Valentine's Day Craft - Heart Cut-outs
Homemade Valentines Day Hearts
In a new initiative from the Cackleberries Team, we’ll be providing some great arts and crafts projects that you and your children can easily do from the comfort of your own home. Today, with February 14th coming up fast, we thought we would bring you a fun themed craft project to get you and your family all ready for Valentine's Day. Today’s project is Valentine’s Day Heart Cut-outs! Good luck.
Valentine’s Day Crafts – Homemade Paper Heart Cut-outs
Step 1 – Fold a piece of Red Cardboard Paper into fourths (you’ll be left with a piece of paper 1/4 the original size)
* note – try using different colours and sizes of paper to create a variety of fun valentines hearts

Step 2 – Fold the newly sized paper diagonally
Step 3 – Draw out a half-heart shape (as seen below)
Step 4 – Cut out around the half heart (dotted area in image) making sure to leave the solid lines uncut
*note – Be sure to keep the small portion of paper located on the bottom left of the image intact!

Step 5 – Unfold the paper and view your new valentines creation!
*Step 6 – If you are up for more advanced valentine’s crafts, you can always look into making more designs during the cutting process or simply use some art materials such as crayons and felts or glitter and glue to spruce up your new valentine’s crafts even further!
