Cackleberries is an ethical, socially responsible company that provides the highest quality children’s edutainment products. Cackleberries is looking for talented people to work in an emerging industry to help create quality multi-genre children’s edutainment rooted in solid IP. Our staff are working to imagine a world for children where everyone is accepted, where differences are never feared and where innocence still exists. We never market nor advertise to children and we do not encourage consumerism.
We are looking for a Drupal themer & UI designer to work with our marketing team and other development staff to create custom themes for Drupal.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with our senior dev and design team with the creative design process.
- Take a PSD file and other design requirements and convert it into a polished Drupal theme.
Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, DOM and JavaScript
- Must have some knowledge of PHP and developing using SVN
- Must know advanced Drupal theming modifying output using Drupal’s theming hooks.
- 5-8 years web design and development experience
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or another related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using a variety of open-source platforms.
- Strong UI/graphic design skills
- An awareness of design standards and optimization of graphical assets
- Skills in Adobe CS5 including Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver

- The ability to manage time efficiently
Bonus Skills:
- MySQL, Apache, Linux
- Experience using Drupal 7, Drush, Ubercart, Drupal Multisite configuration, Drupal’s language/translation functionality
- Drupal installation, configuration, and management.

This is a part time/contract position leading to possible full time.
