Cackleberries is an online fantasy world where children ages 3-7 are welcome to play, create and learn. The Cackleberries world is a safe virtual world for young learners to engage their curiosity, and is the future of online learning for young children.

Is Cackleberries safe?
Yes!
Protecting children is the cornerstone of our business. The use of our Cackleberries Saftey Icon access point will guarantee that your child has NO access to the web. More importantly, no one on the web has access to your child.
Our commitment to safety also extends to the content we share with your child. We have a strict policy of no advertising, no sexuality, no violence, and no discrimination. In short, no inappropriate content of any kind!
Our ethics drive everything we do here at Cackleberries. Our aim is to provide your child with a safe, morally sound place to play online. The multi-ethnic population of Oville promotes values of acceptance and respect.
What does Cackleberries provide children?
Everything you could imagine and hopefully everything they could imagine! Read-along books; educational spatial, memory, speed, and counting games; their very own customizable and unique Cackleberries friend; as well as their very own Room at the Oville Inn! Our offering includes completely original music, over 50 unique characters, wonderful art and colouring pages, craft projects, and much much more …
We have incorporated innocent childhood fantasies into our living cartoons. From Blanche Mange’s Castle to the Aerocack Academy - every home will be a discovery unto itself.
How does my child play?
Simply enter your name and email address and you’re almost there. After you click submit, there are only 3 simple steps:
1. Save your Ovillian Code (for the first time your child plays)
2. Download your Cackeberries Saftey Icon, brought to you through the genius of Adobe (have your child pick their favourite!)
3. Double click your Cackleberries character Saftey Icon that’s sitting on your desktop and enter the magic world of the Cackleberries!
Why was the site re-launched?
Cackleberries was first launched in 2004, and has been delighting children ever since. Website technology has come a long way since 2004! We wanted to update the site and add more in the Cackleberries world for your child to explore. We have adhered to the same values of providing a safe, educational, and entertaining online place for your child to play - with a great new look and new content. We hope you and your child enjoy it. When can my child start playing?
Parents, guardians, and other authorized adults may set up accounts for their children as of July 1, 2011.
What is the ESL section?
The English as a Second Language (ESL) section is new in 2011. With the changing North American demographic, and international access to the internet, English language skills development is a high priority for parents all over the world. While there are many adult ESL providers, no one provides an environment as safe, educational, and entertaining for young children as Cackleberries.com. With a focus on language development, we want to share the magical world of Cackleberries with children from all cultures.
How do I know the content is age appropriate for my child?
We have worked with early childhood educators to develop the Cackleberries material, and to ensure that it is appropriate for children ages 3-7. We understand that not all children learn at the same pace, and in fact, many friends of Cackleberries won’t be reading on their own yet. Non-readers will delight in storytime with various Cackleberries characters; early readers will be challenged and entertained by word and letter puzzles; intermediate and independent readers will be thrilled by the fun stories, word games, puzzles, games, and other activities. There is something for all ages to enjoy.
As always, Cackleberries remains committed to the values of providing a fun and educational environment for your children to play safely. We will never - NEVER - support direct advertising to children or inappropriate content. We promise.
What makes Cackleberries better than other sites?
We built this site for young children. The young learner is special! They have an innocence that must be nurtured, and an incredible sense of curiosity and creativity to be explored. Cackleberries offers a safe online experience for children - for young minds just discovering the wonders of the world.
Not only will your child become computer literate, they will learn developmental skills and educational material along the way. All while being engaged and entertained - safely.
We are also a step above because we believe that ‘Pester Power’ is wrong … and annoying. Unscrupulous advertisers reach your child through Pester Power. It is the intent of the advertiser to get your child to start pestering you to buy their products. I hated it as a mom, and I’m sure you do too. Kids don’t have credit cards, so at Cackleberries, we don’t sell or advertise to them.
I don’t want my child playing video games.
Cackleberries is the farthest thing from a video game. In fact, Cackleberries is really a living cartoon … a community of wonderful new friends with whom your child can learn and grow. We use the latest in educational programs to teach the early skills. Providing a safe, fun, and educational learning environment - that also happens to be entertaining - is what motivates us.
How can I enhance my child’s experience on Cackleberries, and other online sites?
The Internet today offers many sites with content for children. Your guidance and involvement are essential to help ensure that your child has a safe and rewarding online experience. We encourage you to visit and investigate sites on your own before you share them with your child. At Cackleberries, we hope you share the magical experiences along side your child, and encourage them to be engaged by asking questions as they explore.
What do you do with my personal/credit card information?
We do not keep your credit card information on file. Because we don’t keep your information, no one can get it from us! Any sales information is securely handled through our payment processor, who must comply with all applicable privacy laws relating to the provision of financial services, including Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
